Extra Robusto generous and very well-crafted, the Horacio I opens with scents of soft leather and cut grass, before developing into abundant smoke where cedar, honeyed sweetness, and a refreshing vegetal hint mingle. The deliberately slightly resistant draw channels the evolution well: the heart of the tasting remains round and harmonious, with reminiscences of precious wood and a “saddlery workshop” aspect that greatly adds to its charm. A quintessential late-afternoon cigar, easy to appreciate but sufficiently expressive for connoisseurs. Voted “Cigar of the Year 2023” by Cigaroscope.
