Honduras

Like Santo Domingo, Honduras somehow benefited from the influx of Cuban immigrants in the 1960s who helped develop the cigar industry. Although the production was very well received, particularly in the United States, political unrest paralyzed the country for nearly 30 years. Stabilized since the 1990s, the country has enjoyed a boom, particularly in the field of tobacco. The most famous regions are the Jalapa Valley, the high regions of Santa Rosa and the Sula Valley where many Cuban immigrants have settled. Honduran cigars are particularly appreciated for their smoothness and very round flavors. Our selection of vitolas from this terroir is focused on the brands Flor de Copan and Camacho.
